OUR HISTORY

Letto Bello means ‘beautiful bed’ in Italian. It is an expression of our aim to provide quality, stylish bedlinen.

The designs and specifications are produced in Australia and combine the simplicity of Western tastes and styles with the quality, intricacy and detail provided by traditional embroidery. To achieve this combination, we chose to use quality cotton and linen base cloths across the entire range and traditional needlework methods.

Several years ago, Felicity found a company in Vietnam that has grown out of a syndicate originally set up in 1988 to bring rural handicrafts, including embroidery, to the international marketplace. The original syndicate set out to prevent the migration of rural people to the cities to find work.

Letto Bello Linen is proud to provide a sustainable income for the women in Vietnam by providing you with beautiful bed linen. We believe that once you have seen the quality of the product and workmanship, you will agree that it is a wonderful collaboration.

The current collection includes a variety of cotton and linen ranges and we will soon be adding a Portuguese section to the Letto Bello range.

I must say my husband doesn't usually like much between us at night but LETTO BELLO LINEN has become a must on our bed every night!

They look and feel like new, even thought they're a few years old now. By far the best sheets I've ever owned! And those hand embroidered Beach dots keep my son entertained for ages when he snuggles into bed with us!

I purchased for two reasons - I love that this is a form of cottage industry helping keep families and villagers together in Vietnam and the sheets are truly fitted and are made from a beautiful thread to give a lovely smooth weave.
